With the approach of the Fall, it’s the perfect time to start feeling better with Healthy Habits.
What have you been putting off?
For me, it’s been exercise.
Why would I exercise when it’s so hot out!? I still haven’t been back in a gym, I’m a little nervous with the COVID variants, and so my exercising has all been outdoors. But in 90 degree plus weather, I just can’t get myself to go for a run.
With the fall approaching, I’ve vowed that I’m going to exercise at least three times a week, and maybe I can start kicking it into high gear with a new sort of routine.
Here are some new healthy habits to get into your repertoire and to start practicing this fall.

Get Exercising. I know, you already know this right? But are you doing it? I’m definitely not. But we can start to change this by trying new types of routines. I’m starting pilates at a private studio (so I feel safe with just five classmates and a teacher) and I’m going to do yoga before work three times a week. I’ve already made the plans and I have a work out buddy to zoom our yoga classes with. Not only will I have to wake up, or disappoint my friend, but we’re going to challenge each other to get fit.

Drink plenty of fluids. Make sure you’re getting in those 8 glasses of water during the day. I get kind of bored just drinking water, so I try to switch it up. I have never ending iced tea, I have two jugs of it that I drink each day (herbal, non-caffeinated), and then I have a soda stream so I have constant bubble water. My newest hack is to cut up lemons and limes and then freeze them. Then, I pop the lemon wedge into my drink and use it as an ice cube! It makes my water a little more interesting.

Get your flu shot. There are way too many health problems happening right now, be sure to get your flu shot so you’re not stressing about the flu at the same time as the pandemic! You can get them for free at your local pharmacies, try to call to make an appointment so you’re not waiting in line!

Set up a Game Table. Grab those old puzzles or board games lying in your closet and put them on a coffee table or dining table. You’ll see them and realize you should use them! Have a game night with friends, it can be super chill and a fun way to get together. When you’re doing something different or challenging your brain is working in a new way and will thank you. My favorite new board game is Splendor, it’s about acquiring jewels, and who doesn’t like that? Everyone I’ve played it with loves the game and it’s very easy to learn.

Clean your windows. When you clean the dirt and grime that’s accumulated on your windows, you get a boost of energy from that lightened window, and not to mention it helps improve your mental health. Go into the Fall with clean windows!

Clean out your closet. Put those summer clothes away and try on that fall wardrobe. Your clothes might fit differently from last year (or two years ago when we weren’t wearing sweats for 2 years), only keep the clothes that make you feel good. You want clothes that you feel good in, if it doesn’t fit, say goodbye, it will only make you feel bad or anxious when you try on those skinny jeans. Give them to charity or send them to Thred Up and make a little money.

Bed Time. Give yourself a firm bed time. When you go to sleep and rise at the same time, your body will feel better. I need to remind myself to stop reading till 2am! Give yourself a schedule and you’ll be surprised how much better you feel and what you can accomplish.

Take your supplements. Make sure to take your supplements every day, Jubilance for PMS is here to help you feel your best every day of the month, because PMS no longer needs to exist. Stop stressing and feeling anxious when you try Jubilance, the supplement that’s helped 80% of women feel better during that time of the month.
