⌈SPOILERS⌋
Dear Gentle Readers,
I’m sure you’re not surprised to find that many of our characters have strong PMS symptoms, but which outrank the others?
You may not agree, but the receipts don’t lie and there are many personalities with unwavering emotions.
Don’t get defensive if your favorite character is first. Just understand that it’s not a ranking of who’s the worst.
1. Penelope Featherington
Anger: Penelope has showed an overwhelming amount of reactive feelings and emotions that led to her friendship’s downfall between her and Eloise Bridgerton. The vengeful rage that Penelope pours into her Lady Whistledown issues also hurt her very own darling, Colin Bridgerton. If she had Jubilance for PMS she may be able to level her emotions and calm herself down before making more rash decisions and spreading more gossip.
Anxiety: It’s no surprise that anxiety is listed as one of Penelope’s PMS symptom. Our modest character has always been weary of social settings. When it comes to socializing, social will always be linked to the word anxiety for our dear Penelope.
2. Cressida Cowper
Irritability: Cressida doesn’t have many friends and her PMS irritability may be to blame. With a look of distaste plastered on her face at every social gathering, Miss Cowper is no stranger to throwing a quick witted offending phrase to any passerby. Stand aside and run away when Cressida comes to play because she has no problem telling you how much she dislikes it there.
3. Eloise Bridgerton
Exhaustion: Looking for Eloise? She’s cuddled up with a book in the corner. Eloise is always showing disinterest and trying to get out of social outings by saying she’s too tired. Sure, you could say she is just clearly unamused by the ton, but she could very well be PMS-ing.
4. Phillipa Featherington & Prudence Featherington
Irritability: Phillipa and Prudence are your slapstick comedic relief characters, but beneath the light-heartedness is an unsettled feeling about them. They never know what they want and therefore seek validation and other unhealthy cravings. They are never satisfied. They are always wanting more and so they are unhappy about what they do and don’t have. Their PMS irritability is so intense, it’s blinding.
5. Francesca Bridgerton
Stress: It’s Francesca’s coming out season and she has a stuck-look of worry on her face 24/7. During a time of excitement, hope, and love, Francesca is stressed about finding the right one. This is an unusual side to Francesca because we’ve always seen the strong and secure sides of her. If her PMS stress didn’t exacerbate her stress from coming out, she might’ve been able to control her feelings of worry and stress.
