What are your goals, aspirations, objectives, desires, changes, or plans for 2023?

Well, my 2023 just might be very similar to 2022.  I don’t like the pressure to constantly have a new focus or make big changes in my life.  I’m extremely happy with the life I have been living and I don’t understand why I must decide on January 1st all of my goals for the new year.

I don’t mean that I want to become stagnant and not progress and grow as a person.  I just don’t want the pressure of having to declare, in my head or verbally to family and friends, what I want to change about my life. For years I thought that if I didn’t start January 1st with goals and begin executing them perfectly, then the new year would not go well.  Then one year I decided that I really enjoyed my life, and why did I need to make changes.  I want to be me and continue to celebrate and live everyday to the fullest.

Of course I want to make more time to spend with my boys and more time for myself.  I want to stay healthy and workout.  And, of course I would love to save/make more money….I am human!  But, I don’t feel that these are serious changes and that I am reinventing my life, AND THAT’S OK!

Here is to 2023 and here is what I want to happen:

  1. More Time with Family and Friends

I will never believe that I have had enough time with my boys and I just want to spend time with each of them separately and all of us together.  I want to have more dinners and outings with my friends.  Our time together is the therapy of laughter that I need.

  1. Continue Working on my Health

I have always tried to workout regularly and maintain a healthy diet.  I just need to continue and I really want to find different recipes that my boys will eat.

  1. Travel More

I love to travel and I love to take my boys on vacations.  Road trips, cruises, beach, visiting family….we are ready for all of it and more.

  1. Spend Money Wisely

This really isn’t a problem, because I’m not one to spend money like a wild woman, but I want to make sure I am always financially prepared for the unexpected expense.

  1. Now this is a new one….A New Hobby/Interest

I love to read, see movies, and workout, but these aren’t real hobbies.  I want to find something that I can do for myself.  I really don’t know what I want to do, but I know I want to learn something new and have a great time doing it.  I will continue to find something.

2023 is going to be a great year and not because I plan to change my life, but because I plan to have a great year.  I’m not going to think and dwell on what a should be doing and do what makes me happy.  And, what makes me happy is being me.

I hope you have the year you want to have and if that includes making changes, then good luck and do what you believe will make you happy.  Happy New Year!  And here’s to 2023!
