Period Dramas and Periods.  That’s what Heather Milsted set out to develop with her newest play.

Heather is a London based actor, theatre-maker, writer, poet and facilitator. She started creating work at university, where she realized that the gaps surrounding women’s history and the lack of female playwrights, needed addressing.

Heather is a clumsy and queer history nerd who creates taboo-busting, cross-art form work that is chaotic and all embracing, telling stories that are too often pushed to the side. She has performed throughout the UK at venues including the National Student Drama Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Warwick Arts Centre.

This year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, she brought her new play PERIOD DRAMAS to life, we’re talking to Heather all about creating this play along with the history of menstruation!
