I’m Alice, the Social Media Manager for Jubilance. You can read or listen to my story of battling COVID on our podcast WEEKLY WOMAN. I would also like to share what was really helpful for me in my fight with COVID. I’m not a medical professional (I work in marketing), but here’s my list that may help you or your loved ones feel better.

  • Get EVERYTHING delivered. And I mean everything. You need toothpaste? Order it. You want milk? Order it. You can’t leave your house, and no one can enter if you have COVID, but there are a number of resources getting your essentials.
  • Try Amazon or Walmart online, they have everything! But I know they’re not delivering everything quickly anymore, so you might need to be a little creative.
  • Ask your local Grocery Store about what they’re doing with COVID. They might have an app they’re partnering with for deliveries, they might have curbside pickup, or you can call to see if what you need is in the store or if there’s a delivery time.
  • Think outside the box. I had milk and toilet paper delivered from Staples! I got eggs from Rite Aide, think about how you can find your essentials at other places.
  • Have your family send you what you need. They can send you Flat Rate USPS boxes easily packed full of medicine or food that you can’t get in your city. (USPS Flat Rate boxes can ship up to 70 pounds)
  • Have your essentials ready at your house. Get your extra sheets ready and have your PJs out for you to easily change into.
  • Have all of your medicine in arms reach from your bed, you won’t want to get up or have the energy to get it. I also had food and water next to my bed so I would make sure to feed myself.
  • You need a thermometer to check your temperature.
  • You should get a pulse oximeter so you can check your oxygen levels. When you get anxious it also helps to remind you that you ARE getting the right amount of oxygen.
  • Make sure you have acetaminophen so you can regulate your fever.
  • I took 1000mg of vitamin C every hour and zinc lozenges every four hours
  • I also took a bunch of different supplements including oxaloacetate (Jubilance), turmeric, vitamin D, calcium, and cough drops
  • Make sure you have electrolytes to support your system after your fever. I bought some from whole foods that I could throw into anything I decided to drink.

Your COVID-19 Shopping List:

  • Face mask
  • Gloves
  • hand santizer
  • electrolytes
