We have so many strong, selfless, and brave women in history to celebrate and honor this month.

Because of the actions and achievements of Edith Wharton, Amelia Earhart, Frances Perkins, Sandra Day O’Conner, and so many more, women are not just celebrated we are continuing be strong leaders in the world.  Not all women are going down in history, but during this pandemic so many women are showing their loved ones how strong and brave women truly are.

The COVID pandemic has caused so many changes and right now moms are really facing these changes.  Moms have had to adjust to unknowns that have been out of their control.  And these moms have done it with the strength and bravery that women have always had.  Right now moms are leaving in a world where they do not know what is going to happen next.

As a single mom, I have had to adjust to this pandemic society.  I am in constant worry of how it is impacting my boys.  I worry that we will get sick and I don’t know how it will affect us.  I worry that there will be long term effects mentally, emotionally, socially, and physically.  I worry that I’m not doing it right!  As a mom I’m always questioning myself and my decisions.  These are the thoughts that are running in every moms’ mind right now.  We are all struggling, but more importantly we are all persevering with strength and grace.

As you honor the amazing women that have paved the road for us, remember the amazing women that continue to fight and survive for their families and loved ones. The one thing that history has shown women is that “we can do it!”
