Are you ready to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee?
How are you planning to party it up?
Here are some ideas to help you enjoy the festivities of the Platinum Jubilee.
Serve Up Some English Breakfast. Have you tried beans on toast, or roasted tomatoes for breakfast? Add something different to the routine on the Jubilee Weekend as well as some eggs and bacon.
Drink ALL the Tea. Tea is a very important aspect to British life. Not only do they stop for a Tea Break during the day, they all have their ow favorite teas and how to add things to their tea. There is actually a fierce debate about whether to add the milk first or second when pouring the tea. How do you take your tea? My favorite British tea maker is Whittard of Chelsea which you can order online.
Make a Playlist. Either go all British music, or why not make a playlist that only mentions royals or the queen in the song?
Union Jack Photo Booth. Grab a blag or a couple of them and set up your own backdrop for a photo booth. Maybe you even have some plastic tiaras to pretend to be royal.
Pin the Crown on the Queen. Print out a big picture of Queen Elizabeth II and try to get the crown to stick to her head. It’s fun to see all the strange places the crown ends up.
Serve Pimms Cup. Our recipe is on our blog now, and this is a classic cocktail that originated in London in the 1800’s. It is the unofficial drink of Wimbledon, and is a go to summer and spring classic, great on a hot summer day.
Build Your Own Castle. Why not try building your own castle? You can make it for the kinds, but the adults might enjoy it too! Try building it with cardboard boxes and paint it to decorate!
Try serving some pub food. Why not make the classic fish and chips or mushy peas? These are classics at the pub and are easy to make!
Decorate in the Jubilee Colors. The colors of the Jubilee are platinum and dark purple. Platinum has to do with seventy years and purple has to do with royalty.
