Are you ready to play a game?

I found board games during the pandemic!

If you grew up in the US, you probably started playing board games when you were younger like Monopoly, Yahtzee, Parcheesi, or even Scrabble.  Those are all well and good, but there are so many more games out there, and games that are for adults.

Games were never my thing, but during the pandemic they were a way to stay connected to my friends and family.  We would play games outside and even at the height of the pandemic, we would put the board on a separate table with chairs six feet away from each other, and we’d walk up to the board when it was our turn with gloves on to keep safe.

It’s time for you to try some new games too!  Here are some of my favorites that are perfect for adults and also fun to play with the whole family.

The board game Splendor as one of the best board games for adults.

Splendor.  I think I’ve gotten about 50 people invested in this game during the pandemic.  It’s all about collecting jewels, and anyone who plays it, loves it.  Trust me, you need this game in your life.  You can play with 2 to 6 people, so it works with however many people you have at home.

The board game Carcassonne as one of the best board games for adults.

Carcassonne.  This is one of my favorites, you’re putting together castles and towns in a building tile game.  There are also all kinds of expansions to make the game more complex.

The board game Tokaido as one of the best board games for adults.

Tokaido.  This game is beautiful.  The graphics are stunning and once you finish, you’ll want to play all over again.  The idea of this board game is that you are on a journey from Kyoto to Edo and the goal is to have the most fulfilling adventure along the way.  You’ll want to visit Japan when you finish.

The board game Cat Lady as one of the best board games for adults.

Cat Lady.  A cute game with fun cat names like Waffle, Bronte, and Pablo Piccatso to keep you smiling as you feed all your cats.  Simple to learn and fun to play, it also packs up easily, so perfect for road trips this winter.

The board game Seven Wonders as one of the best board games for adults.

Seven Wonders.  A game of card collecting about the ancient world and civilizations.  Fun for the whole family and beautiful imagery.

The board game Ticket to Ride as one of the best board games for adults.

Ticket to Ride.  The most popular game on this list and likely available at your local Target, you can choose the adventure you want to go on, there are all kinds of boards, from the first one, a map of the USA, maps of Asia, Europe, specific countries, and even the London Tube and New York Subway.  See what all the hype is about, it’s fun and easy to play.

The board game Sagrada as one of the best board games for adults.

Sagrada.  You’re building a stained glass window in this dice game, it’s fun and you can even play it all by yourself.

The board game Bristol 1350 as one of the best board games for adults.

Bristol 1350.  A new game with the best game box I’ve ever seen, you’ve got to check it out.  This game is all about the plague or the black death pandemic, it’s fun to play a game about the madness of our time, but be removed from the game world.  Highly recommend it!

The board game Morels as one of the best board games for adults.

Morels.  You’re foraging for mushrooms in this card game perfect for two people.  It’s easy to pack and bring on a trip and quite fun!

The board game Parks as one of the best board games for adults.

Parks.  This is a game about going on a trek around the US National Parks.  With gorgeous graphics, this is a new game not to be missed.

The board game Jaipur as one of the best board games for adults.

Jaipur.  This is another two person game and is about collecting cards to get invited to the maharaja’s palace.  Grab one of these two person games for your next date night!

The board game Hive as one of the best board games for adults.

Hive.  A bug themed strategy game, it’s being compared to chess in its difficulty and is so easy to pack up and bring everywhere.  The goal of the game is to capture the other person’s queen bee and protect your own.

Board games are a great way to destress, and if you need more of a pick me up from your period and PMS, consider trying our OAA supplement (oxaloacetate) to help with your stressesanxietiesirritabilities, and gloominess during that time of the month.
