Are you ready for the greatest holiday of the year?

The one all about female friendship and empowerment?

As Leslie Knope says in Parks and Recreation, “What’s Galentine’s Day? Oh, it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, Leslie Knope and her lady friends leave their husbands and their boyfriends at home and just kick it breakfast style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus, frittatas!”

And who doesn’t want a frittata!

But it’s time to take a page out of Leslie’s book and have your very own Galentines Day Party.  Whether you have an S.O. or not, it is always a good time to celebrate with your friends and get together with the girls.

We have some tips and tricks for you to host the best Galentines Day Party ever!

  1. Host a fun brunch!  Just like Leslie Knope, why not have a breakfast themed soiree?  Make a waffle bar, a mimosa bar, or a pancake station.  Who doesn’t love breakfast food?
  2. Have your friends come in themed clothing.  Whether it’s a pajama party, wearing funny hats, coming dressed as their favorite historical lady, or any other fun theme, invite your girls to have the best time ever in their clothing choice.
  3. All of the Themed Balloons.  Put up a pink and red balloon arch, or blow up some heart balloons.  They’re a great way for some easy and fun decorations that everyone will love.
  4. Have a Mani/Pedi party.  Get out all your nail polish and have your guest pick their colors.  Everyone can do their own nails and you might even want to add some nail stickers to liven it all up.
  5. Paint Night by Bob Ross.  Grab your friends and get together either in person or virtually and stream a Bob Ross class on youtube.
  6. Great Galentines Bake Off.  Have all your friends bring their favorite pastry and compete to have the best baking in the land.
  7. Face Masks.  Add some face masks for a wonderful spa moment.  Why not give your girlfriends some sheet masks, cut up a cucumber and put them on their eyes.
  8. Wine Tasting.  Get a couple of bottles and put a piece of paper over the bottle.  Then host a wine tasting night with your girlfriends trying to guess what each wine might be.
  9. Make Galentines Together.  Get crafty and make some valentines for all of your friends.  Get out the construction paper and the glitter and enjoy getting back to the kid in all of you.
  10. Watch a Girls Movie.  Find your favorite film and put it on!  You can either enjoy the movie night or just have it on in the background.
  11. DIY Photo Booth.  Find some props around your house, do you have a flower or a crown, or a fun glass lying about?  And have fun playing with all of the props with your friends.
  12. Floral Arrangement Class.  Take a flower arranging class together.  Grab some flowers from your garden or from the supermarket and have everyone arrange a mini flower class.
  13. Board Games.  Take out the board games and get playing with your girlfriends, we have a list of the best board games HERE.
  14. Have a Secret Cupid.  Instead of a secret santa, play with a secret cupid.  Have your friends draw from a hat and bring their gifts to your gathering.
