Are you ready for Halloween?
There are some easy ways to find a Halloween costume, right from what you have at home. You might have all of these in your closet, or be able to supplement in quick and easy ways.
What are you feeling for this halloween? A comfy costume? Pulling out that formal dress you haven’t worn since before the pandemic? An outfit to hang out and watch scary movies in? We have all kinds of different costumes with different comfort levels for all of your Halloween plans.
Keeley from Ted Lasso. The show that swept the Emmys and is just a true delight is perfect fodder for Halloween. Just put your hair up in a high pony and then find some sequins or feathers!
Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. Why not dust off that red dress and throw on some red lipstick. If you have a crown or a fun headband, put it on, and grab a deck of cards! You can either make a fan with the cards, make a collar, à la Queen Elizabeth the First, or tape the cards to your dress and voila! You’ve got a quick and fun costume.
Flight Attendant. Do you have a white (or any color) button up and a suit? Snap it on and put on a silk neck scarf and call yourself a flight attendant. You can dress up as Kaley Cuoco in the new tv show. Why not pretend you’re off to travel and figure out where you’d like to go!
Tourist it Up. Find your best flowered Hawaiian shirt, some shorts, a dumb looking hat, and maybe some sunscreen for your nose. Put a camera around your neck or grab a brochure or map and enjoy that Halloween party as a tourist.
Netflix and Chill. Another way to wear that red dress or a red t-shirt! Print out a graphic of the Netflix logo and wear it around your neck. Then for the chill part, you can carry around an ice bucket.
Coachella Attendee. Do you have some hippie looks in your closet? Bring them out and find yourself at Halloween coachella. Make yourself a flower crown and put on that makeup you bought in Halloweens past, really you can do whatever kind of make you want, the more glitter, the better.
Sandy from Grease. Sandy is iconic and so easy to do! Put on some black jeans or pants and a black crop top with a leather jacket. Don’t forget that super curly hair!
Elle Woods from Legally Blonde. If you don’t have a little dog, don’t fret. Put on EVERYTHING you own that is pink. Pink shirt, pink skirt, pink scarf, pink lipstick, a pink hat, nothing is too much for Elle Woods. And enjoy talking about the law at that party!
Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family. All you need for this look is a black dress and braids, done! Super easy and we all own that little black dress.
Joanna Gaines from HGTV. Do you have some overalls lying around? Or some jeans and a work shirt? Grab a hammer or some other tool to complete the look!
Emily in Paris. Grab your beret and a french baguette and dress in your chicest look. Voila, you are Emily in Paris.
Princess Diana. In addition to this Princess who will forever be iconic, The Crown introduced Diana to a whole new generation of viewers. Take a trip back to the 80’s and 90’s with her amazing fashion and grab a wig for that famous haircut.
Wanda from WandaVision. The exciting thing about this show was that it was set in so many different decades. Do you have any vintage clothes lying around? How about some clothes from the 80’s? That would work! Go for it and be Wanda!
Kim Possible. Kim Possible is such an easy costume! All you need are some green cargo pants and a black long sleeved crop top! Easy and super comfortable!
The Bachelorette. Grab your favorite formal dress and go get some red roses from your favorite florist. Hold onto the roses throughout the night, or give roses to your favorite men. ;)
